It sure felt a lot faster at the wheel than it looks in the video, but it was a helluva lot of fun.
Topped out at 128 mph on the last run down the front straight (about 7:10 in the video below). They told me it could do 140 but I can see in the video that I never really pushed it around the last corner. I guess first-time jitters. Maybe next time.
My last and fastest lap starts at 5:55.
They have some sort of data logger that only shows up in their video app but when I export it none of that shows (which is what you see in YouTube) so just enjoy the sights and sounds with no real context.

Sometimes when it looks slow it is actually fast.

It’s always a little sads to go for a drive that feels balls to the walls, and look on the dashcam afterwards and it’s totally boring to watch. Seems like with a head-mounted cam it’s more exciting.

Isn’t that what they said on Top Gear about star-in-a-car? It’s amazing how
feeling
like you’re at the limit (I most definitely wasn’t at the limit) can look pretty mundane on camera.

Yeah I shamelessly stole it from there.

I tried to be pretty gentle on the throttle... probably to a fault. You can see some lurching in the video when I gave it a bit much on the shorter straights.
And yet the car never really felt like a handful. It drove pretty easily. I’m sure the nannies were on, but watching the speedo in the data-logged video, I wasn’t really on the edge.
